Project Talento para llorar

This project, developed in Mexico, treats the concept of the professional mourner in relation to the theatrical, emotional representation and pretence. The starting point of the work were interviews made with women that act as professional mourners in a competition in San Juan del Río, Querétaro.
In the piece Talento para llorar (Crying talent), the voices of these women are accompanied by a video of two actresses preparing themselves to perform.
